President

Lisa Weier

Believing that care and compassion can transform lives, Lisa joined Random Acts Matter in 2017 as a member of its governance committee—a role she continues to hold today. She also lends her time and expertise to several other respected charitable organizations, including CASA Kane County, where she serves as a member of the Board.

Lisa spent 13 years as a securities attorney, before transitioning full-time to the philanthropic sector. She now partners with local, national, and global organizations as President of FT Cares Foundation in Wheaton.

Lisa believes deeply in helping others and giving back—a philosophy she strives to instill in her two college-age sons, who are often by her side at charitable events when they aren’t charting their own paths in college.

Vice President

Alison Thoms Crooke

Alison has been part of the organization’s volunteer family since 2018, stepping into leadership roles as a team leader for much of that time. She has 25 years of experience in Human Resource Management with the last 10+  running her own consulting firm. Alison brings both professional expertise and a heart for service to everything she does.

Deeply rooted in St. Charles, Alison has found many ways to give back to the community she calls home. She has served on the Norton Creek Elementary PTO board, is very active with the St. Charles East Athletic Boosters Club and volunteers her time with Lazarus House and Big Hearts of Fox Valley to support families in need.

At home, Alison and her husband Steven enjoy cheering on their two sons, Jaden and Ethan. Together, their family loves to travel, explore new places, and make memories wherever they go. Alison is excited to continue growing her involvement and giving back in her new role on the board.
